Genesis Account was founded in 1977 to provide a quality outdoor education program for Christian Schools. Genesis Account is committed to leading people to a deeper understanding of and relationship with God using educational programs and opportunities that focus on the natural environment. Creation provides a foundation for this understanding as it reflects the nature and attributes of a personal God (Romans 1:20). We are interdenominational and subscribe to the Statement of Faith of the Association of Christian Schools International.
Curriculum for fifth (5th) through eighth (8th) grades is taught by our instructors, who also provide the spiritual emphasis that undergirds our academic program.
Our program is designed to increase the students' awareness of God's love through a better understanding of His Creation. It also allows the students to deepen their relationships with peers and their classroom teacher.
- To study science concepts in the context of the Word of God.
- To develop awareness and appreciation for God's Creation and His provision for mankind's life on earth.
- To develop a sense of responsibility and cooperation through group living and learning.
- To develop a Biblical understanding of self-worth.
Natural science and environmental education topics are taught from a Christian perspective. Subjects included are from the disciplines of biology, geology, astronomy, zoology, botany, ecology, conservation, nature study, and outdoor recreation skills. The programs are designed for grades 5 through 8.
Genesis Account Outdoor Schools operates from September through the middle of June. We offer 3, 4, and 5 day programs starting with dinner on the first day through lunch on the last day.
Genesis Account provides an experienced teaching staff comprised of committed Christians, each with an appropriate academic background. The GA staff handles the evening programs as well as the curriculum. GA provides one instructor for every 20 students. The school must provide adult counselors on a ratio of one counselor to every 8-10 students.

Their heart for the Lord and for the kids showed in everything they did.
